Common questions
Frequently asked questions

How often should I have a dental check-up?

Most patients should have a check-up every 6–12 months, depending on their oral health. Your dentist will recommend a review interval after your first exam.

Do you offer NHS dentistry in Southend-on-Sea?

Yes — we offer both NHS and private general dentistry treatment.

How much does a private dental check-up cost?

Cost will be variable — call us on 01702 584000 for more details.

Do you see children?

Yes, we provide children's dentistry and welcome new child patients.

Is it painful to have a filling or root canal?

With modern local anaesthetic, both treatments should be comfortable and you should not feel pain during the procedure. You may experience some pressure or sensitivity afterwards, but this is usually mild and temporary. Root canal treatment is often performed to relieve pain caused by an infected or inflamed tooth.
